Maintenance Firepaw Dog Treadmill

Maintenance of Firepaw Dog Treadmills

Firepaw Dog Treadmills are designed with high-quality materials, requiring minimal maintenance. However, to ensure optimal performance and longevity, we recommend the following care tips:

Bearings in Aluminum Wheels and Shafts

  • Lubrication: Periodically apply a thin grease (e.g., WD-40 or similar) to the bearings.

  • For intensive use or use in dusty areas: Lubricate once a month.

  • For less frequent use in a dust-free room: Lubricate every 2–3 months.

Wooden Running Belt: Cleaning and Protection

  • Moisture Protection:
The wooden running belt may deform with exposure to moisture. Although it is treated with a protective coating, the dog’s nails may wear down the top layer over time.
Apply a natural varnish periodically to protect the wood in humid areas or where water contact is possible.

  • Cleaning:
Use a natural wood cleaner for the running area. Avoid harsh chemicals.

Plastic Sides: Cleaning and Prevention

  • Heat Sensitivity: Keep the sides away from direct sunlight or heaters to prevent deformation.

  • Cleaning: Use water or a window cleaner with a clean cloth or sponge to avoid scratches.

Metal Frame

  • Made of powder-coated solid steel for durability.

  • Care Tip: Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture to maintain the paint and appearance.

Nuts, Bolts, and Running Belt Integrity

  • Before each intensive use session, and at least once a month in all cases, check that all nuts and bolts are properly tightened, as well as the overall condition of the running belt.

  • If you notice a loose locking nut, it must be replaced together with its corresponding bolt to ensure safety and stability.

  • If you observe even a minor defect or irregularity in the structure of the running belt, please contact us immediately and send photos so we can provide assistance.

Mini Mill Belt Maintenance

  • The slats are connected by a rubber belt.

  • Maintenance: Apply a silicone spray to the belt once a month to maintain flexibility and prevent wear.

Important: Never change parts or make treadmill adjustments without our instructions especially on the running belt
